PARASITE
CONTROL
Although some ‘over the counter’ products may be effective, they aren’t always for every animal. This can be due to poor active ingredients, a low concentration of active ingredients or active ingredients that parasites have formed a resistance too as they have been used widely on the market for many years. Please contact the practice to discuss what options are best for you and your pet.
As a practice we like to offer the most effective parasite control on the market. There is difference in every product, and it is our aim to make the decision of choosing which product suits you most as easy as possible.
What are the main differences?
POM-V products are parasite controls in which can only be brought from a veterinary practice or online with a veterinary prescription. To obtain these products, your pet must have had a health assessment with the Veterinary Surgeon in the last 12 months. These products require prescriptions as they are Veterinary Grade.
NFL-VPS products are parasite controls which can be bought ‘over the counter’ in a veterinary practice, in a shop or online. These products are either non-prescription active ingredients or at a low concentration.
